Program Overview
The Phlebotomy program prepares students for entry-level roles as Phlebotomy Technicians or Phlebotomists in healthcare settings like clinics, hospitals and labs. Graduates will be equipped to assist in basic laboratory procedures, perform blood draws (venipunctures), and handle specimen processing while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
Certification Eligibility of Phlebotomy Technicians
The program meets the curriculum standards for the organizations below and prepares students for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
The course includes both theory and hands-on clinical training, with certification opportunities for those seeking professional development in the medical field.
Additionally, this course is part of our Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Medical Assistant (MA) programs, offering a pathway for those looking to expand their healthcare careers.
