New York State’s COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate For Health Care Workers
In accordance with the New York State Governor’s mandate, all healthcare workers in New York State, including staff at hospitals and long-term care facilities (LTCFs), such as nursing homes, adult care facilities, and other congregate care settings, are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
As a result, graduates of the Nurse Aide (CNA) and Nurse Aide Advanced (NAA) programs must meet vaccination requirements to qualify for employment in compliance with job mandates.
Additionally, the Nurse Aide (CNA) and Nurse Aide Advanced (NAA) programs at New Age Training include a mandatory externship/internship component. Vaccination is a requirement for participation in these clinical experiences, as stipulated by the mandate.
In order to meet the requirements of the vaccination mandate, all students enrolling in the Nurse Aide/Assistant (CNA) and Nurse Aide Advanced (NAA) programs must provide proof of vaccination during registration as a mandatory entrance requirement. Please note, New Age Training will keep vaccination status confidential and will not share it with unauthorized personnel.
