History – A Legacy of Training New York City’s Healthcare Workforce
New Age Training (NAT) has played a leading role in shaping New York City’s allied health and nursing support workforce. From the very beginning, we’ve continuously responded to the evolving needs of employers, healthcare providers, corporate partners, and students by earning their trust through collaboration, adaptability, and results.
– NAT officially launched under its current name. Before that, during the early 1990s, we operated as Perfect Knowledge, offering Information Technology (IT) training in Project Development, Business Management, and Oracle.
– NAT earned licensure from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as an official training provider in New York State.
– Building on that foundation, we achieved national accreditation through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET)—a milestone that reinforced our commitment to high-quality, accountable education.
– Shortly after, we launched our first healthcare training program, Nurse Aide (CNA), while based on 8th Avenue. The program quickly became our most in-demand offering, especially after gaining approval to accept Workforce1 and ACCES-VR (VESID) vouchers.
– To meet the growing demand for Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), NAT introduced the Nurse Aide Advanced hybrid program, combining CNA and PCT training with all required certifications.
– Expanding our focus on allied health careers, we added the Medical Assistant (MA) program to our offerings.
– Continuing our momentum, we launched the Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) and Patient Care Specialist (PCS) programs, providing students with broader pathways into the healthcare field.
– Finally, we introduced the Home Health Aide (HHA) and Dialysis Technician (DT) programs, rounding out a diverse and career-driven catalog of healthcare training options.
